Honestly thought it was another gimmick
I'll be real, I almost didn't buy this. My Civic had swirl marks all over the hood from the drive-thru car wash and every "miracle" product I tried before did nothing. A shop near me quoted $600 to buff it out so I figured for the price of this I had nothing to lose. Put a few drops on the pad, wiped it on one section at a time, waited a minute, buffed it off. That was it. The swirls are just gone and the paint looks wet like it's still shining. No machine, no mess. I keep walking out to the driveway just to look at it lol. Should've bought it months ago.

I never leave reviews but I had to for this
My truck lives outside 24/7 and the black paint was cooked. Faded, dull, water spots everywhere. I've bought every spray wax at the parts store and none of them last more than a week, so I wasn't expecting much here either. Did one coat on a Sunday afternoon. The color came back like it was brand new, deep and glossy again. Rain just rolls right off it now instead of sitting there. It's been about 3 weeks and it still looks the exact same, no fading. First car product I've ever bought that actually did what it said. That's why I'm even writing this.

Was scared to put anything on my BMW
Not gonna lie I was nervous about this one. It's my 3 Series and I did not want to ruin the paint with some random product off the internet. What made me pull the trigger was the money back guarantee, figured if it looked bad I'd just send it back. I did the hood first as a test spot before committing. Came out perfect so I did the whole car the next morning. It's honestly easier than waxing and way less work. No streaks, no damage, nothing. The shine is deeper than the day I drove it off the lot. Wish I stopped worrying and just tried it sooner.

Works great, just don't rush it like I did
Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is my own fault honestly. First door I got a little greedy and tried to coat too big of an area at once, so it dried uneven and looked hazy. Panicked for a second but I just wiped it back off and did it again slower, one small section at a time, and it came out perfect. So it's not the product, it's the user. Once I figured out the rhythm the rest of the car went quick. My Camry had dull spots and hard water stains all over and now it's smooth and shiny and water beads right off. Just take your time and read the directions first and you'll be fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Riley Auto fills fine scratches and swirl marks by bonding a ceramic layer into the surface of your clear coat. It's not a temporary cover-up — the SiO₂ complex chemically bonds to the paint and levels out minor imperfections, leaving a smooth, glossy finish. Deep scratches that go through the clear coat and into the base paint are beyond what any coating can fix, but for everyday swirls, wash marks, and light surface scratches, the difference is dramatic and visible immediately.
Wax sits on top of your paint like a layer of butter — it looks good for a week or two, then washes off in the rain. Riley Auto is a ceramic coating. It chemically bonds to your clear coat and becomes part of the surface, which is why it lasts months instead of days. It also provides hydrophobic protection (water beads and sheets off), UV defense, and scratch-filling properties that wax simply can't match. You'll apply wax 20+ times in the span of one Riley Auto application.
No. Riley Auto is safe on all factory and aftermarket clear-coated paint. It bonds with your clear coat rather than stripping or etching it. It's also safe on glass, headlights, plastic trim, chrome, and wheels. As with any coating, we recommend testing a small inconspicuous spot first and avoiding application in direct sunlight or on a hot panel. If you can wipe it, you can coat it.
No tools required. You apply Riley Auto by hand — pour a few drops onto the included applicator pad, spread it in even strokes, let it haze for about a minute, then buff it off with a clean microfiber towel. That's the entire process. No buffer, no polisher, no prior experience. If you can wash your car, you can coat it.
One 4 fl oz bottle is enough to coat an entire full-size vehicle — sedan, truck, or SUV. A little goes a long way. If you're doing a smaller car or just targeting problem areas like the hood and fenders, you'll have product left over for touch-ups or a second application down the line.
Riley Auto's ceramic coating lasts up to 12 months depending on your climate, driving conditions, and how often the vehicle is washed. Most customers reapply every 6 to 12 months to maintain peak gloss and hydrophobic performance. Compared to wax that lasts 1 to 2 weeks, you're looking at roughly 25x the longevity per application.
